Rural Scottish home near Moffat

The landscape in this area inspired this design with our visits to a Himalayan garden at Craigieburn along with the waterfall and lakes at Grey Mares Tail. It'll be an uncomplicated garden honing and refining the existing landscape without losing the feeling of space. The driveway edgings and some hardstanding areas will be paved with reclaimed granite cobble tops and some areas of new sandstone paving already onsite. The more intimate rear garden will be naturalistc with a pond and rill leading from a hillside waterfall again using some site won boulders and local supplies. Our design minimises the use of concrete with the drive and functional areas laid to recycled plastic grid fillled with local whin stone chippings over a freedraining base. We're really looking forward to seeing this one develop.
